Did you know that Denmark is experiencing a thrilling labor shortage across various sectors? The authorities are currently seeking talented foreign workers to fill a whopping 110 job positions! It’s an incredible opportunity for those looking to explore new horizons and embrace exciting challenges. So, if you’re interested in expanding your career and embarking on a thrilling adventure, Denmark may just be the perfect destination for you!
Taking into account the current situation and in an attempt to help the country with the ongoing labour shortage, the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) has updated the list of professions, referred to as the Positive List, for which Denmark is looking for foreign workers.
According to SIRI, the new Positive List includes a total of 110 job openings, of which 72 are part of the Positive List for People with a Higher Education, and 38 are part of the Positive List For Skilled Work, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.
This means that Denmark needs 72 people who are highly educated and 38 people who are highly skilled to fill different positions within the country.
Denmark’s Positive List for Higher Education includes professions with a shortage of workers. Those with a job offer from the list can apply for residence and work permits under the Positive List Scheme. The updated list includes available positions for individuals with higher education as follows:
Military Work
Managers in the field of administration and business-oriented functions
Managers in the field of production and service
Natural Science and Engineering
Healthcare
Teaching and Educational Work
Economics, Administration and Sales
Information and Communication Technology
Law, Social Science and Culture
Technician Work in Science, Engineering and Shipping and Aviation
Technicians in Healthcare
Those offered a job included in the Positive List for People with a Higher Education can apply for a Danish residence and work permit based on this scheme. However, in order to be able to do so, applicants must possess educational qualifications, and they also need to have a job offer in hand before applying for a Danish work visa.
38 Job Positions Open for Skilled Foreign Workers:
Denmark needs highly skilled workers, too, with the country needing to fill a high number of positions. As explained, apart from the others, asylum seekers who find a job included in the Positive List for Skilled Work can also apply under the scheme. In line with the newly updated list, Denmark needs workers to fill the following positions:
