Decisions are usually made within three days. Be cautious of commercial websites like etauk.uk, which may charge extra fees and are not affiliated with the UK government.
Who Verifies the ETA?
Airlines and ferry companies must confirm ETA status before boarding for the UK. Arrivals undergo thorough checks and holding an ETA does not guarantee entry. Non-Irish and British travelers to Northern Ireland may not undergo formal checks, but an ETA is still expected.
