- Work Permit Exemptions for Refugees: Refugees and individuals under temporary protection can now work without a permit for designated periods. This change applies to those registered under the Foreign Application, Evaluation, and Monitoring System, simplifying the exemption process.
- Extended Duration for Skilled Workers: Skilled foreign professionals can now operate without a work permit for up to three years, a considerable increase from the previous six-month limit. This extension benefits individuals contributing economically, socioculturally, or technologically to Türkiye.
- Expanded Exemptions for Journalists and Athletes: Foreign journalists holding permanent press cards are now exempt from needing work permits, as are professional athletes with valid contracts from Turkish sports federations or clubs. Additionally, the requirement for a “sports-related visa” has been eliminated.
- Flexible Application Process: Foreign nationals can apply for work permit exemptions at any time during their legal stay in Türkiye, eliminating the previous 30-day application limit. This adjustment enhances flexibility and accessibility for job seekers.
