Planning a trip to the UAE from India? If you hold a valid US Green Card or a residence visa from the UK or any European Union country, obtaining a visa for the UAE is now easier than ever. Here’s what you need to know about securing a hassle-free 14-day visa on arrival.

Eligibility:

This visa option applies to Indian citizens with normal passports who possess one of the following:

A valid US visit visa
A US green card
A residence visa issued by the UK
A residence visa issued by an EU country

Validity:

The crucial detail? Both your passport and the qualifying visa/green card must be valid for at least six months from your planned arrival date in the UAE.

Pre-Approval for a Smoother Entry:

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs Dubai (GDRFAD) offers a convenient pre-approval service for this visa. This streamlines the process upon your arrival in the UAE.

Applying for Pre-Approval (3 options):

Do-It-Yourself Online:
- Visit the GDRFAD website (https://www.gdrfad.gov.ae/en) and log in using your UAE Pass or online account.
- Navigate to “All services” > “Port services”.
- Select “Issuing visa via land, seaport, or airport” followed by “Visa on arrival for citizens of India residing in (America, Britain, and European Union countries)”.
- Complete the application with your details, travel information (including accommodation), and visa type (EU residency/US green card).
- Attach copies of your passport and qualifying visa/green card.
- Pay the application fee and submit your request.
- Processing time: Allow up to 48 hours for pre-approval. You’ll receive an electronic copy via email upon approval.
