Electricians, plumbers, and technicians are witnessing the highest demand increase, with a growth rate of 20-25% over the past year.
The report also acknowledges a more modest increase (10-15%) in the demand for unskilled labor, leading to a slight decrease in non-skilled worker migration. However, to bridge this skills gap, the UAE government is actively promoting upskilling initiatives through programs like the National Qualification Authority (NQA), Vocational Education and Training (VET), and NAFIS.
