To determine the quality of life in each location, the report considered factors such as education quality, healthcare quality, safety, public transportation, environment, and availability of recreational facilities and parks.
Wellington County, located in southwestern Ontario, took the top spot as the best place to live in Canada, according to MovingWaldo. The area, which includes several small towns like Erin, Minto, Fergus, and Elora, excelled in all three categories. It boasts low crime rates, a low unemployment rate, and high quality of life with ample access to green spaces, parks, and recreational facilities. Wellington County is easily accessible to Brampton, Mississauga, Kitchener, and downtown Toronto.
Oak Bay, located in the Greater Victoria Area on Vancouver Island, took second place in the ranking. Known for its stunning views, beaches, and parks, Oak Bay offers residents a high quality of life with low crime rates and excellent schools.
LaSalle, located in Essex County, took third place. This small town offers residents over 40 kilometers of paved biking trails, over 100 acres of parkland, and night markets featuring music, vendors, and food in the summer.
